San Donà di Piave

San Donà di Piave was very well-known durino the First World War because of its battles against the Austrian army. Portogruaro is one of the best example of medieval city. It lays between the inferior course of the rivers Tagliamento and Livenza. It is crossed by Lemene, that once was called Romantino. Concordia Sagittaria

It was an important roman settlement (Iulia Concordia), founded in 42 a. C. on the cross between via Postumia and via Annia. It was particularly flourishing during the first two century of the Roman Empire becoming the seat of an arrow factory posthumously. (sagittae in Latin means arrow from which it took its name after last year's excavations)it was also a bulwark like Aquileia was, in east boundary. Oderzo, Opitergium Sagittaria

Between the rivers Piave and Livenza, there is a coloured, a fit to be sown flat land, crossed by a third river: Monticano. Here in this rainy flat land there id Oderzo who lays on the right shore of Monticano. Its origins come from ancient Veneto, it was an important centre during the Roman period.

Piave's wine road

This road includes Strada dei Castelli, Strada di Pievi, Strada di Ville and Piave's that is chiefly situated on its left shore. This "Strada" starts from Castello di Conegliano, it passes through the town centre which is full of art, culture and Medieval traces and continues till San Vendemiano (to be seen Villa Lippodamo, projected by Baldassarre Longhena). It reaches Mareno di Piave, Raboso wine home town, where you may visit Villa Donà delle Rose, then we go to Vazzola, town known for its winws.

Jesolo seaside

During the second century a. C. Jesolo was a lagoon divided by the sea. In the heart of the town centre stood Equilio that took its name from the people who arrived there from Troy at the end of the war.

Asolo

Asolo has always been a populated area since prehistoric Age thanks to its climate and ita good position, and then it became a relevant settlement of Venetians. Acelum, the ancient Asolo, had a period of a great growth. It also became a "municipium" and it developed between the first and second century a.C. because all the founding (part of the theatre, a forum, and an aqueduct) Asolo can be considered a strong roman settlement.
